Hello St. John’s Improv Nerds!
I’m hosting a salon. An evening of improv. It’s a community night, focused on just having some fun and doing some scenes and long form.
6:00 - 7:20pm : CLASS
An improv class focusing on duo scenes. Warm up + scene basics exercises. Some improv experience would be beneficial, not necessary, and this class would also be really fun for actors/ performers who would like to try some grounded improv scenes. Limited space, email me dpuddicombe@gmail.com or fill out form below. $10! Admission to the class is basically paying for the space for the evening so thank you in advance!
7:30pm : Showtime!
DUOS: Any participants from the class who would like to try doing a scene with an experienced improvisor are welcome to! No pressure but a great opportunity to have warm support on stage and off!
MONTAGE: A group of improvisors will do a montage, which is an open improv format. We will talk briefly about general longform staples (sweeps, callbacks, second beats) so we can all get a feel for how the magic happens. 15-20 min.
HAROLD: A group of improvisors will do a HAROLD, which is a more technical improv format. We will talk briefly about the form (group games, beats and structure) so we can get a feel for how EVEN MORE magic happens. 20 - 25 min.
There will hopefully be about 25 people involved in the show who will also watch, leaving only about 15 spots available to watch by donation ($5, $10, $15!) at the door. You can get on the guest list if you email me directly dpuddicombe@gmail.com and I’ll save your spot.

Bar will be open for buying bevvies and tipping generously. Might get some buds selling other stuff!
